* Games Finished these months:
- Hero of the Kingdom:
A simple game that tells a story about a boy searching for this missing father and later saving the world.
Game mechanics are easy to understand. There are several static screens/scenarios where items are hidden.
You have to gain abilities to search for different type of items (be able to pick mushrooms, ability of hunting, ability of fishing, etc.)
Over the course of the game, you unfold the story, unlocking abilities and managing your energies/money and time.
The story can be achieved in several hours, but if you want all the achievements, a little more time of search is required.
At the end, what I got was a game that kept me playing it and entertained me several hours.
* Games started:
- Persona 4 (PS2):
What a game!
This game took my by surprise. I had heard of these series in the past, but I really like what I found.Persona 4 is a game that can be divided in two modes:
1st Mode: Social/Story Mode. You unfold the story of the Persona 4 World by advancing in time. Mysterious assassinations happen in the town and you found you've got new powers that can help you to solve the mystery. Through the game you make new friends with whom you can improve your relationship making able to create more powerful personas (entities that help you combat the bad guys)
2nd Mode: Combat/Dungeons Mode. Several Dungeons are revealed through the history where you travel in order to save people by defeating the evil shadows. A system of combat new to me, but that can be fun by discovering weaknesses of the enemy, managing your personas and several classic elements of RPG's games.
What I have played are almost 60 hours and it seems I'm at 3/4 parts of the game. The gang is almost completed and my relationships are almost at the maximum. Waifus are here to stay forever.
PS: OST rocks!
- Final Fantasy I (GBA Remake):
Finally I decided to start the Final Fantasy since the beginning, but not with the NES version but the Remake.
I've played around 10 hours and the game is fun.
The game was conceived in the beginnings of the RPG genre, so it can appeal as a generic RPG game and certainly it is.
You will find several normal elements of a classic RPG: Grinding as hell, save the world, Classic look-and-feel like RPG Maker games. You'll have to save the world by finding the crystals and restoring the balance of the world.
So far I'm having fun with the game and its music really hooks me.
Advance: I got the first crystal (Earth) and I'm on my way for the second crystal.
- Fruit of Grisaia (Steam):
A Rich Visual Novel.
Spent time: Around 10 hours.
You follow the story of Yuuji, a new student in a very particular high school where 5 girls are taking classes.
Yuuji has a past that he wants to forget and start a new life. The life he encounters is not the usual. He finds five girls, each one with its own complexes and problems. (Five Girls = Five Waifus)
There you have the kuudere, like-tsundere, maid, normal-pervy-childhood forgotten friend.
So far, small stories are happening and I'm getting introduced to the problems of each girl.
The game is really well done and it surely received a big budget because it has a rich set of music/sounds/voice. I love this game.
- GRID (Steam):
Finally a racing game (apart from Mario Kart) that I can like. It's system of progress and realism is really good.
Spent Time: 4 hours
There are several circuits and leagues, each one with its own features.
I'm really a noob in this game, but I like it.
- Assasins Creed I (PS3):
I decided to give a new try to the series and start with the first game. I'm really impressed about the graphics it has for its time.
Spent Time: 5 hours.
The story follows a guy who has been kidnapped by a scientific group in order to get his "genetic" memories and get what happened thousand years ago in the time of the Crusades.
This guy is a descendant of an Order of Assassins and we have to rerun the story in order to achieve certain memory the science people want.
I think the mechanics were innovative by the time and the story unique. It seems I'll have to kill several people.
- DarkStalkers (PS3):
Finally I have my hands on these series. Morrigan is one of my forever waifus and I want to play her games.
Spent Time: 3 hours
Darkstalkers is a unique fighting game with unique characters and unique skillsets. There we have the succubus Morrigan, the cat-girl Felicia, the rocker mommy, the robots, the sarcophagus, a yeti, a werewolf, etc.
It's a fun time and surely an Arcades-game. Really Fun.
- Super Mario 3D World (Wii U):
I tried this game on coop mode and yet its graphics are superb, I cannot find something to return to the game. Maybe it was easy in coop and I have to try it on solitaire.
Cat mode is pretty and the bright in the game due to the Wii U is relly pretty.
I'll have to follow up on this.
- Mario Party 10 (Wii U):
I didn't like what Nintendo did to this game, at least, to the boards. Now every character goes in the same wagon and so no one is alone ever. The games keep rockin, even with a new moder (Bowser mode).
In general, the game does not attract me anymore, but I'll have to try it again.
- Alien Isolation (Steam):
The atmosphere is superb. You do really feel isolated. I've played just 3 hours and I really liked what I saw. The problem is that I don't have a powerful machine to truly feel the experience the game offers.
* Games continued:
- League of Legends. Will someday I forget this game?, I don't know. From the last time I had a small time as Top with Gragas, Maokai, Rumble. As mid I had a good time with Cassiopeia.
New Support in my list: Janna.
New ADC's: Sivir for the win.
- Just Dance Series. Nothing to add. Fun and exercise. Popsy songs.
- Age of Empires II HD (Steam):
Definitely a game that's fun for me. It keeps its brightness and even with this HD version the difficulty is bigger.
- Sakura Spirit (Steam):
Despite having fun with the game, this visual novel is not the game of the cetury but rather a standard visual novel with waifus.
And I like these waifus, and several provocative scenes included.
I'm almost at the end where I need to resolve the problem between two dimensions. Everything is linear so far
- Borderlands (Steam):
This game keeps itself in my likeness. I adore the style of the game and the feel. Siren is the best.
I've put around 20 hours in the game and if I'd only like more of shooters, it would be tons of hours more.
The game for me is kind of difficult to the rate that I've been stuck several times, but when I advance I have this good feeling. I'll have to finish this game.
