July 6th. 2015

Alright, new try.

* Games Finished these months:

- Hero of the Kingdom:
A simple game that tells a story about a boy searching for this missing father and later saving the world.

Game mechanics are easy to understand. There are several static screens/scenarios where items are hidden.
You have to gain abilities to search for different type of items (be able to pick mushrooms, ability of hunting, ability of fishing, etc.)
Over the course of the game, you unfold the story, unlocking abilities and managing your energies/money and time.
The story can be achieved in several hours, but if you want all the achievements, a little more time of search is required.

At the end, what I got was a game that kept me playing it and entertained me several hours.

* Games started:

- Persona 4 (PS2):
What a game!
This game took my by surprise. I had heard of these series in the past, but I really like what I found.
Persona 4 is a game that can be divided in two modes:
1st Mode: Social/Story Mode. You unfold the story of the Persona 4 World by advancing in time. Mysterious assassinations happen in the town and you found you've got new powers that can help you to solve the mystery. Through the game you make new friends with whom you can improve your relationship making able to create more powerful personas (entities that help you combat the bad guys)
2nd Mode: Combat/Dungeons Mode. Several Dungeons are revealed through the history where you travel in order to save people by defeating the evil shadows. A system of combat new to me, but that can be fun by discovering weaknesses of the enemy, managing your personas and several classic elements of RPG's games.

What I have played are almost 60 hours and it seems I'm at 3/4 parts of the game. The gang is almost completed and my relationships are almost at the maximum. Waifus are here to stay forever.

PS: OST rocks!

- Final Fantasy I (GBA Remake):
Finally I decided to start the Final Fantasy since the beginning, but not with the NES version but the Remake.
I've played around 10 hours and the game is fun.
The game was conceived in the beginnings of the RPG genre, so it can appeal as a generic RPG game and certainly it is.
You will find several normal elements of a classic RPG: Grinding as hell, save the world, Classic look-and-feel like RPG Maker games. You'll have to save the world by finding the crystals and restoring the balance of the world.

So far I'm having fun with the game and its music really hooks me.

Advance: I got the first crystal (Earth) and I'm on my way for the second crystal.

- Fruit of Grisaia (Steam):
A Rich Visual Novel.
Spent time: Around 10 hours.
You follow the story of Yuuji, a new student in a very particular high school where 5 girls are taking classes.
Yuuji has a past that he wants to forget and start a new life. The life he encounters is not the usual. He finds five girls, each one with its own complexes and problems. (Five Girls = Five Waifus)
There you have the kuudere, like-tsundere, maid, normal-pervy-childhood forgotten friend.

So far, small stories are happening and I'm getting introduced to the problems of each girl.

The game is really well done and it surely received a big budget because it has a rich set of music/sounds/voice. I love this game.

- GRID (Steam):
Finally a racing game (apart from Mario Kart) that I can like. It's system of progress and realism is really good.
Spent Time: 4 hours
There are several circuits and leagues, each one with its own features.
I'm really a noob in this game, but I like it.

- Assasins Creed I (PS3):
I decided to give a new try to the series and start with the first game. I'm really impressed about the graphics it has for its time.
Spent Time: 5 hours.
The story follows a guy who has been kidnapped by a scientific group in order to get his "genetic" memories and get what happened thousand years ago in the time of the Crusades.
This guy is a descendant of an Order of Assassins and we have to rerun the story in order to achieve certain memory the science people want.
I think the mechanics were innovative by the time and the story unique. It seems I'll have to kill several people.

- DarkStalkers (PS3):
Finally I have my hands on these series. Morrigan is one of my forever waifus and I want to play her games.
Spent Time: 3 hours
Darkstalkers is a unique fighting game with unique characters and unique skillsets. There we have the succubus Morrigan, the cat-girl Felicia, the rocker mommy, the robots, the sarcophagus, a yeti, a werewolf, etc.
It's a fun time and surely an Arcades-game. Really Fun.

- Super Mario 3D World (Wii U):
I tried this game on coop mode and yet its graphics are superb, I cannot find something to return to the game. Maybe it was easy in coop and I have to try it on solitaire.
Cat mode is pretty and the bright in the game due to the Wii U is relly pretty.
I'll have to follow up on this.

- Mario Party 10 (Wii U):
I didn't like what Nintendo did to this game, at least, to the boards. Now every character goes in the same wagon and so no one is alone ever. The games keep rockin, even with a new moder (Bowser mode).
In general, the game does not attract me anymore, but I'll have to try it again.

- Alien Isolation (Steam):
The atmosphere is superb. You do really feel isolated. I've played just 3 hours and I really liked what I saw. The problem is that I don't have a powerful machine to truly feel the experience the game offers.

* Games continued:

- League of Legends. Will someday I forget this game?, I don't know. From the last time I had a small time as Top with Gragas, Maokai, Rumble.
As mid I had a good time with Cassiopeia.
New Support in my list: Janna.
New ADC's: Sivir for the win.

- Just Dance Series. Nothing to add. Fun and exercise. Popsy songs.

- Age of Empires II HD (Steam):
Definitely a game that's fun for me. It keeps its brightness and even with this HD version the difficulty is bigger.

- Sakura Spirit (Steam):
Despite having fun with the game, this visual novel is not the game of the cetury but rather a standard visual novel with waifus.
And I like these waifus, and several provocative scenes included.
I'm almost at the end where I need to resolve the problem between two dimensions. Everything is linear so far

- Borderlands (Steam):
This game keeps itself in my likeness. I adore the style of the game and the feel. Siren is the best.
I've put around 20 hours in the game and if I'd only like more of shooters, it would be tons of hours more.
The game for me is kind of difficult to the rate that I've been stuck several times, but when I advance I have this good feeling. I'll have to finish this game.

04/09/2015

A long time has gone since the last time I updated this game. It's time to return to it and give it a new try.

I'm living in a new city with a little more chances of playing games than before. So let's move on

First of all, I'll give a small update of which games I've finished these months:

- The Walking Dead Season 1 (PC)
A great entry for the Adventure Games on PC, if it might look a lot easier for long-time fans of the genre.
This is the most awarded game for TellTale Games, where they achieved a very emotional masterpiece matching a well-written story with quick decisions.
What I'll keep forever from this game is the strong bond you can forge between Clementine and Lee.

- Half Life (PC)
Finally I completed this game. Last time I was fighting soldiers, but later the game got complicated with more stranger aliens and the final stages totally reinventing the game with the double jump.
If I still don't consider myself a FPS gamer, I did like this game.

End Boss was a nightmare for me and yes..., I had to read a guide at the end.

G-Man is a really mysterious man.

- Radiant Historia (DS)
I finished this game!. It took a while, but at the end I could destroy the boss who was the Stocke's Uncle Heiss.
Stocke was separated from his sister (Eruca) at an early age.
Stocke was manipulated by Heiss and the latter expecting Stocke to join him in the destruction of the world to take revenge against the history of the world, where the second son has to be sacrificed in order to keep a balance in the world.
But I managed to won to Heiss :)

At the end there is one ending where Stocke remains with Rayne. Beautiful.

--------------------------------------------

Currently Playing:
- League Of Legends: As always. Carry for the win. And with participations of Maokai, Gragas and LeBlanc.

- Pillars of Eternity (PC)
A Old-Style RPG that came recently this year. It hooked me up for 7 hours and let's see what's next. Strong Role System, Diverse Classes, abilities and weapons. I think I'll need to play several times this game in order to try several warriors!.

- Hotline Miami (PC)
A game where you have to kill everything that is ahead of you. The little wrong movement and you're dead and you'll have to restart.
The interesting thing about this game is the puntuation rankings. I'll target for those Steam achievements as well
A delicious soundtrack.

- Hyrule Warriors (Wii U)
Not your typical Zelda Game. Combined with the Dinasty Warriors Game Style, Zelda characters are under your control in order to beat as many enemies as you can trying to achieve several objectives.
I do like this game and Cia is a gorgeous lady.

- Super Smash Bros (Wii U)
An excellent game that seems will restore the glory of the Smash Saga. New characters have been added like Megaman, Duck Hunt, Palutena, Wii Fit Trainer, Villager, etc., while others come back.
An excellent fighting game with new modes, standing out the Crazy 8-Mode.
A game I'll play for ages.

- Mario Kart 8 (Wii U)
The Top Mario Kart game for me. Adding the gravity, coins system and improved graphics, alongside the perfect gameplay the game has achieved, it seems like this will be the Game for Local Multiplayer for years.

- Final Fantay VI (SNES)
I decided start one of the best RPG Games of All History and this game indeed claims for that title.
Story is a blast and so the characters design. After a lot of sacrifices trying to stop Emperor and discovering who is Terra, our heroes succumb to the tricks of Kefka, who manages to awake the three statues and almost destroy the world, changing the whole world map terrain.
Now I'm trying to reunite the heroes in order to challenge Kefka and try to save what's left in the world.

Sakura Spirit (PC)
A simple Japanese Visual Novel where you control Takahiro who was conducted to the past in order to restore the balance between the humans and some fox-spirits who got caught in the earth.
Game full of provocative images and literally no gameplay, just follow up a history.

- Dishonored (PC)
Bethesda game with Steampunk elements. Corvo is an officer who is betrayed and treated as if he killed the empress. A faction of allies will save him and now he needs to go against those who betrayed him and now are under the control of the country.
Excellent game, full of stealth.

----------------

I will update other games as long as I remember them:
Star wars: Knights of the Old Republic, etc.

09/17/2014

What can I say. I let a lot day just pass without any daily review.

Here we go with another try.

From 09/01 to 09/16.

- League of Legends
(~50 hours)
I've just been playing a few champions, but hell I'm improving with them.
These are my most used champions:
Miss Fortune. I can say I have a great win rate with her. She's great and with few counters.
Jinx: I really love this girl. She's particularly crazy and great sense of humour. Nice ulti, great attack speed and ultra minions clearer.
Thresh: As I use to say: the ultimate Support
Lucian: Great damage burst. I can see why he is right now a top 5 choice in metagame

Rankeds:
Team: Bronze IV. In Promotion games.
Solo: Silver II. 16 points

- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
(~50 hours)
I have really played a lot this video game. Its magic is spectacular. I've been completing mission by mission and I don't regret of any.
My level of sneak is high, and adding it to my archery level, I can kill enemies from a big distance without even be noticed.
I have a house and many other things.
Current level: 39

- Earthbound
(~8 hours)
I finished this magic game.
After levelling to 90 and fighting lava monsters and getting the eight melody, I went to a weird (normal in this game, isn't it?) location: My mind.
There I got accompanied by a chicken-like being who helped me to battle against very strange creatures of Ness' mind.
Then, after a few scenes, we was told to travel to the past in order to fight against Giygas in the very beginning of his invasion.
The final match consisted of four phases as detailed below:
1st: Fight against Pockey and Giygas. Very strong and unable to use PSI attacks. I had to defeat Pockey, who then unleashed the full power of Giygas.
2nd: A very strange reddened monster form. Very strange, but accord to the game's bizarreness.
3rd: A hurted Giygas starts to deform itself more and more. Hard fight.
4th: Totally crazy form. Just lines that reminds a wrong-synchronized TV. Despite every attack that you try, you cannot defeat it without the help of the Earth. You NEED to pray to them because Giygas is undefeatable in any other way!!.

At the end, we get the opportunity to visit to all the people of the world to receive news with new dialogues. Poo says farewell and then Jeff does it.
We have to get Paula to her home and the going to ours, for the very end.

Really excellent game and I really can see why is a great game to which now I'm a total fanatic.

- Radiant Historia
(~8 hours)
After beat Earthbound, the next RPG I decided to try in my DS was this one.
So far, the story promises and the characters are lovable.
The main character is Stocke, a soldier/special intelligence member who is part of the Alistel army inside a war against a powerful enemy: Granorg.
The unique aspect of the game is that it allows to explore every single breach of the game. You can travel to a previous part of the history where an important decision takes part, and so playing other timeline.
The companions of Stocke are the two mercenaries Marco and Raynie (beautiful girl!). Later you can play with Rosch as well (soldier).
So far, there are two main branchs. One with the militia (I have a mission to go to the Sand Fortress), and one with Specint (Infiltrate in Granorg).

- Pokemon Blue Version
(~5 hours)
After the last time, I've gotten Thunder badge at Vermillion City, catched some pokemon and now going to the mysterious Lavender Town.
Current Team: Wartortle, Sandshrew, Fearow, Wigglytuff, Pikachu and Kadabra.

09/01/2014

This week, practically, just four games have been played.

- Earthbound
(~13 hours)
I'm at the near end of the game. Meet Starmen, fight dinosaurs (Chomposaur), cry to the "Ghost of Starman", characters around level 90.
It seems that my fight against Giygas is close.
Let's see

- League of Legends
(~16 hours)
Lot of games. Champions more used: Jinx, Thresh (I'm starting to love Thresh), Ahri, Lux, Morgana, Elise)
Ranked team stuck. I'm still at Silver II

- Meatboy
(~30 minutes)
Hard as hell.
Level 2 completed, and 3 (Factory of salt) is getting harder. Let's see

- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim/
(~20 hours)
A game like no other. Intense!.
For the first time I can join to the Dark Brotherhood. I have a horse, I'm part now of the Storm Clock. I'm level 32.

08/25/2014

A lot of time has passed since the last entry.... (Ages, I could say)

I will try to make an approximate, but hardly it will be exact.

- Legend of Zelda
(~1 hour)
While trying to clear Level-4 dungeon, I encountered a mortal enemy: Wizzrobes.
This enemies are hard as hell in this first game of the series.
Several days I've tried to beat them in a room of the dungeon, and simply I cannot pass (or pass with just 1 hear)
Game has mixed blue and red wizzrobes, some blocks, some balls that catch you and some flickering balls that disable your sword.
If this is level 4..., I cannot imagine what will be level-7 dungeon.
Some day I will pass this room.

- Advanced Wars - Days of Ruin (Nintendo DS)
(~12 hours)
Very exciting Turn-based strategy game. I liked GBA Version, and now I decided to try these DS version.
Absolutely magnificent. Essence of the original game is still present, but improved!.
I started the campaign and I really like the story (and Lin of course!!). I've played around 15 different maps, and time just flies.

- Earthbound
(~16 hours)
A long of the plot has been walked. From the first desert I went to Fourside (strange and large city with cars fighting you), discovered Moonside (great & bizarre city!), found again to Pokey (I think he will be the last enemy), went to Winters (to discovered again Jeff's dad & got the third melody), Summers (Beach & Kraken), Dalaam (Poo, the fourth guy, a prince!!), Scaraba (desert with its pyramids), Swamps (swaps!!, dark forest), Tenda Village (Very shy people), and returing to Winters to fight aliens.
I learned teleport, my characters are over 60 level, Paula got rapped in Fourside and recovered.
A lot of thins have passed, and these games will be between my all-time favourites RPG's. It's a masterpiece!!.
But still, way to go!/

- Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PC)
(~30 hours)
I took by third time the challenge (and I hope this time I will finish it?)
I've decided to take this time a warrior with weapons of one hand (axes?) and shields, and capable of using bows.
I just can say: This is a beautiful game!! (and I run it at low capacity).
Every mission is special and you can improve several abilities.
Archer's damage is not that good, but it's really nice.
Shield protects really good.
My new race is orc, and his "Berseker rage" is something special. Against bosses it practically gives me a lot of power.
Thief mode is really good. Pickpocket too. :p

Anyways, I'm doing Whiterun missions, level 24, Stormcloack.
Several missions from the Companions have been done.
Long way to go!!

- Counter Strike: Global Offensive
(~2 hours)
Still sucking at shooters. But improving little by little

- Pokemon Blue (Game Boy)
(~11 hours)
I decided to take again the challenge of being a Master Pokemon, starting with the first version.
No much to say. I have just two medals: Brock's and Misty's.
My current team is: Raticate, Wartortle, Wigglytuff!, Fearow, Kadabra, Pikachu (Levels 20-22)
I will almost challenge Vermilion City's gym)

- Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
(~8 hours)
I returned just few time to heaven to take care of some missions, and the went to the next earth zone. A fire zone.
Lot of things are here, but principally fire enemies!
I've managed it to enter to the second dungeon, and it's being more or less challenging.
Last time a strange type of lizards are making my life complicated.

- League of Legends
(~90 hours)
Will I someday leave this game rest?. I don't see that day close.
Lot of time been inverted here.
Team ranking (Engineers of War): Bronze IV
Individual ranking: Silver II.
Current characters being used: Lissandra Top, Fiddlesticks support, Miss Fortune, Nunu Jungle, Ahri)

- Garry's Mod
(~3 hours)
Just Melonbomber matches. It's a very exciting game!!. I've found people extremmely good.

- Sprung: the Dating Game
(~4 hours)
Brett has sold his friend Becky, managed to have his first dates with the hippy girl and the black hair girl, and arranging Lucas & Piercing girl meetings.

- X-Com: Enemy Unknown
(~4 hours)
I've started a new campaign, decided to take several achievements. This game rocks!!

- Dragon Age: Origins
(~4 hours)
An ARPG. I will try to discover why so many people like this game.
A innovative thing (at least for me) from this game is the capability of creating tactics with your team to put in practica in battles and responding to battles' events.

 - Dark Souls
(~4 hours)
Leonardo has rung the first bell. Tough battle that one agains a gargoyle. Many iron giants, walking-trees, and undeads.

23/07/2014

- Legend of Zelda
(~25 minutes)
With the Ultimate Sword I decided to clear Level-2 dungeon. I did it. It was not difficult. It was a Rhino that died with two bombs. I also got an enhanced boomerang.
I also discovered the purpose of the blue candle. It's to enlighten dark rooms.
At the end I got the third piece of the Triforce. Four pieces left.
I made my way to Level-4 dungeon and started it. I got a ladder that helps to jump through rivers and also the dungeon map.
Tomorrow I will try to defeat Level-4 dungeon Boss.

- Earthbound

(~40 minutes)
FINALLY!!!
I beat Master Belch. It was surprisingly pretty easy by using the Jar of Fly Honey. I gave it to Belch, and it two turns it was defeated....
Then it there was a tunnel, two more weird enemies and then the second part of Saturn Valley. I received a cup of coffee with all my achievements so far, and the message that the next thing is a desert and Fourside.
So, it was time to return to Threed. The right tunnel on Threed was open now, and I was able to walk through it.
So I arrived to a desert. In this desert there was a traffic jam blocking the high way, making me travel through the desert. Aliens, scorpions, wolfs. That's the kind of enemies I've encountered so far.
Let's see what this desert offers

- Half Life
(~30 Minutes)
Finished another chapter. I found a strange arm that is like a ultra laser that kills soldiers almost instantly. So I got out of the building and finally went outside.
And there I am, stuck, because I cannot advance because of a helicopter and soldiers that don't let me pass.

- Hero Siege
(~10 Minutes)
Nothing to mention. I started a new Nightmare adventure.

- League of Legends
(~3 hours)
4 Ranked matches (4 won) Bronze IV!!
Miss Fortune (x4)
Finally we get out of Bronze V.
3 Good Ranked Matches and 1 against platinum people that always humilliates and then gives matches.

23/07/2014

- Earthbound
(~ 1 hour)
Just level grinding. Still cannot defeat the Muk-alike thing (Master Belch). I took advantage of some part where monsters can respawn very quick and with the Earthbound's instant won I have Ness, Paula and Jeff four levels up. But still cannot defeat that monster....
I have to see in Internet abilities of this monster to see how to defeat it... I'm pretty sure I could have defeat it if only my DS could allow me to see what I'm facing against.

- Legend of Zelda
(~20 minutes)
Don't wanting to go to another dungeon, I decided to explore a little more. So I went to the north searching for the Ultimate Sword. I didn't have any problems now to get it and the Old Man gave it to me. It has double power and now I can defeat the blue monsters (Blue Octorok) with just one hit.
Then I decided to go to defeat the boss of the level-3 dungeon (Manhandla). For my surprise, it was pretty easy using this Ultimate Sword.
I went to the level-2 dungeon to clear it, but it will be tomorrow.
[2 out of 7 dungeons cleared]

- Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
(~30 minutes)
With my mind cleared, I solved the puzzle that I cannot resolve yesterday. Now I got that key to the last door of the first temple (Skyview Temple)
Then I opened the door and as expected, there was a Boss waiting for me. He gave me his name (Ghirahim). He's a person not much powerful. The trick is dodge some bats that he throws, and wait for his charges to grind it with the sword. I got at the end one extra heart.
At the end there was a spring, where I knew a little more of the purpose of the game. It's supposed Zelda has to go to to another two springs in order to fulfil Goddess' desires and be prepared to the final match.
So, I'm not seeing yet Zelda, and I'll have to wait. So, it's confirmed that there are other two temples and that'll be the end of the game.

- Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn
(~2.5 hours)
Finally I got my hands over this game.
Graphics are amazing.
Character customizations is beautiful
I spend like hour/hour and a half creating my first character (Female Hyur Midlander). I fell in love immediately.
The resting time I spend it listening to the introductory Gameplay, and several info of the game. It reminds me a lot to Wow, but with strong differences. (Maybe all MMO's are almost the same)
I got my first quests in order to know the city. Joined to a "company", something like a group, but not a guild.
And that's all. I read a lot yesterday about the game.
I'm in love of my character: Lydia Sinister.

- League of Legends
(~2 hours)
2 ranked matches: 2 won (Second was a enemy trolling game)
Champions used: Fiddlesticks Support, Blitzcrank Support
First game I accompanied Ginny's Tristana at Bot. We won the lane, but lucky because enemy support was AFK during 10,15 minutes.
Second game was not worth. At minute 3 enemy team gave 4 kills to Ginny's Graves, feeding him. I just have to Blitzcrank rest of the game, and yet we died many times because of overconfidence, we won.

- Counter Strike: Global Offensive
(~20 minutes)
Nothing much to say. I tried Training and one Demolition game.

- Garry's Mod
(~20 minutes)
Melonbomber. Fun and errors. :D
